In London Super Enhancement

In London Super Enhancement, That line has been ringing through my head as I’ve looked at the vividly artificial garden of Meadham Kirchhoff, the collages of Michael Van Der Ham, the juiced up party pinks at Giles Deacon, and Mary Katrantzou’s transposed details of interiors magazines.

Much less was to be gained, I felt, from Pringle, where Clare Waight Keller did variations on shifts with additions of a half skirt or a bit of techno mesh trim, and from Acne, which used an apartment in Kensington Palace to show nice minimalist separates and oversized knits with zippers up the back. The connection between Acne and the palace was Lord Snowdon, who has done some work for Acne Paper. A few of his pictures of Princess Margaret were on the walls. But, in the end, the collection told a familiar minimalist message of transparency and combinations
